Sightseeing
For spectacular scenery, history and wildlife, visit the parks and try some of the scenic highways and byways in the area (and don’t forget to catch the sunset on the beautiful White Cliffs behind Arrowhead). Also look for petroglyphs, Anasazi Indian ruins, pioneer forts, movie sets, art galleries and more nearby.

Hiking - for All Ages and AbilitiesHiking in and around Zion National Park
Trails for hiking are available in almost every park and monument. For more information on hiking in the parks, please check out our Itinerary page. For those who wish to stay a little closer to the home base, you can also find hiking trails starting in Arrowhead’s back yard that will take you to the base of the nearby White Cliffs.

Guided ATV Tours at Arrowhead

Enjoy the scenery and thrills from the back of your own all terrain vehicle with a tour from American West Adventures.  Automatic transmissions take just minutes to master and then you’re ready to hit the trail and see the sights.  Your guide will lead you to the Devil’s Rock Garden or to one of the many nearby slot canyons.  $30/hour per person. Talk to Jane or Callie or call (775) 253-0535 to reserve your ride.

Guided Horseback Rides at Arrowhead
Saddle up and horse around with American West Adventures.  The trail is scenic and fun, our horses are friendly and well taken care of, and the guides are experienced, plus there’s no commute – the trailhead begins in our backyard!  The 2 hour ride to Sand Hollow Slot Canyon is $35 per person per hour, and requires some athleticism and some prior riding experience.  We also offer a shorter and less demanding 45 minute ride to Emerald Pond for those who just want to take it easy, for $35 per person.  Talk to Jane or Callie or call (775) 253-0535 to reserve your ride.
